Elodie's biggest challenge yet |
Lead | |
|
So I have not done a BFL challenge for 18 months now and to say the least,I have let myself go somewhat. In my last challenges I have only wanted to lost 10-15
kgs but i have piled on the kilos and need to lose approx 30kgs. Obviously losing them all in one challenge might be a little ambitious but am prepared to give
it a damn good go. If I even lose 20kgs in this challenge,I will be satisfied. i am officially starting tommorrow and although that may seem strange starting
on a Saturday...I have made the decision to do a challenge and I just feel I need to start immediately. So officially,I start tommorrow and will post my stats
here once done. I am excited to begin a new challenge. With the weight I have on,I think it might be tough going but will give it my best shot. I think too
this challenge does not meet the dates for official entry as I will be going thru Nov,Dec and then Jan. Anyways, goodluck to all that are also midway through
challenges. look forward to some chat....Elodie

Welcome back. Yeah, starting immediately seems to be the way to get it done. Waiting only makes it easier to put it off another week. Gotta ask, are you going
to start at "Day 1" on the workout schedule and use each Saturday as the beginning of your week or will you start on whatever Saturday should be?
Best of luck to you and keep posting.

So day 3 has come and nearly gone. Just about to do my cardio for the day, food has been clean again and energy levels are up. From memory in my last
challenge,in about week 3 I hit a real energy low so I am watching the energy levels and carb intake, making sure I get enough. So far so good. 81 days to
go....

I just completed my cardio workout and managed to increase my overall speed and levels compared to day one so I am already on the improve. Must keep pushing
harder to get the results.

So LBWO went well today. i worked my legs until total failure but for some reason after finishing my workout, I feel like I havent worked hard enough on them.
i guess tommorrow will tell with the absence or not of DOMS. Food going excellently and staying right on track. I loaned my Body for Life and Eating for life
books to someone once at my gym, they have since left and I have no way of getting them back. I really want to read the book for some more motivation. i think I
have the DVD's somewhere so I will watch them again and buy myself the BFL book for a read. Feeling better physically already, just more energy. Althought
his morning I woke up with a wicked headache verging on migrane, fortunately my husband was home and looked after the kids whilst I had a rest and let the
panadol kick in. Feeling good now though after my workout....

Yeah, I love it too... I have the book, the DVD and the audio book... I often go back to them for motivation, specially the begining of the DVD and audio
book... listening (and watching) those people speak is very inspiring... and reminds me of my own transformation, while not as dramatic, it has also changed my
life for the better...it also reminds me why I'm doing this.
Yeah, Bill Phillips is one of the people I'd love to shake hands with and thank him personally. Arnold Schwarzenegger is the other one. Master Yoda will be a little more difficult :-) Glad the audiobook will help!

So week 1 is complete and am pretty happy with the results....
Weight - 93.9kg (1.8kg loss) Bust - 109cm (3cm loss) Waist - 98cm (2cm loss) Hips - 125cm (5cm loss) Bodyfat - 40.3 (4.2% loss) I am using a body fat scale to check the bf percentage so i know they are not the most accurate of things but at least I will be consistently using it so it will give me some idea of the actual loss I am achieving. Feeling pretty pumped for week 2. Had a good relax yesterday for my free day but had a free meal instead of free day. Week 2,here i come. |

Week 2 plodding along nicely. All workouts going well and I seem to be slowly getting some level of fitness happening. The DOMS are pain and I have not stopped
aching since starting but I know I am working hard and that it will settle down soon. Food also going great. Have dropped a few more grams on the scales
bringing me down to 92.2kg (3.5kg total loss). Hope all are having a good week although it looks like things have gone dormant around here. I think I am
talking to myself...

Hi Elodiee!
Looks like you're doing great....well done! I know it's very quiet around here, yeah? I haven't been doing anymore challenges since the last time so I haven't been posting either ;p. Anyway, good luck and have fun!! Cheers, Egg Salad. |

Hey Egg,
Long time no chat. Yeah, thanks for the good thoughts, the challenge is going well so far. Starting to gain a bit of momentum now and really get into it. It is super quiet around here but offically there is no BFL challenge rounds happening at this time so it makes sense for those that do it for official entry. Me,I am doing it for the sheer need and love. Thanks again for the positive words Egg, Elodie |

Do they still have official challenges now??
I think one of the reasons it's so quiet here is also b'cos it's now not accessible from the official BFL/EAS website, so there's no way ppl will know abt this except if they go thru Yuku. There isn't even EAS Aust/NZ website anymore, is there?? Egg Salad. |

They definately still have official challenge round dates for the EAS BFL challenge in the US. There is none on at the moment but I think the next round was to
start in Feb (don't quote me on this). I wonder why they took the link away from the BFL.com site though? Makes it hard for Aussies/NZ alike to find a site
for support. I must admit, it took me a bit to find this site when I googled it. So here are results for end of week 2 Weight 92.7 (-1.2kg) -2.9 to date Bust
108cm (-1cm) - 4cm to date Waist 93cm (-5cm) - 7cm to date Hips 124cm (-1cm) -6cm to date A loss is a loss,the waist measurement is fantastic,the rest a little
slow but I know that I always lose the waist first. Here comes week 3...bring it on !!!
